For last Friday's hostess club, we did 3 techniques (as usual).
The first was Faux Dry Embossing. I think it's a cool technique but it is kinda sticky! We used the flower punch from SU! (the one that has 3 flowers). The color was actually Barely Banana (looks like Yoyo... yuck!). Anyway, like I said, cool technique but the glue stick on small parts makes things sticky!

The second technique was Paper Piecing (which I always want to call Piercing!). But no... piecing as in piece together. :) I've showed this technique before but not at a hostess club and almost this same card. I thought that we should do a formal technique of it so that everyone would get the instruction card for their technique books. I can't believe this lil' lady is leaving. Not too surprising though, as
Jenn, my upline says... it's Marilyn Monroe on crack. Uh, pregnant Marilyn on crack, that is. I don't think I've ever warmed up to her. She just doesn't look right somehow. Anyway, it was nice to have a pregnant lady stamp set ... maybe the new catalog will have a better one.

Finally, the third card was my favorite technique for the evening. It's called reflection. There are many ways to do reflection cards but this one is one of the simpler ones, I think. We made it into a mother's day card. So, I probably should get it in the mail, eh? Watercoloring isn't something I'm great at... I need more practice. I do like the SU! watercolor crayons and the reinkers for coloring.

Really like this card. Good choice of stamp. I want to learn this technique so I can teach it!
