ATTN: Swappers...

My birthday is coming up and in honor of that momentous occasion, I'm hosting another A Muse ATC Swap over on SCS. PLEASE come join me!

Thanks SO VERY MUCH!

JulieHRR's What kind of stamper are you?

So, occasionally I run across articles in other people's blogs that I find super interesting. I'd like to share them with you. I'm pretty certain that most of my customers haven't read Julie Ebersole's blog. She is the queen. And the other day she posted this "What kind of stamper are you?"

I am truly a stampy stamper. I actually try sometimes to be the scrappy stamper and I fail miserably. Incidentally, I "stamp" cards and gifts but I "scrap (and not stamp)" in my scrapbooks. Hmm... I need to think about that some more. Interesting.

So, what kind of stamper are you?

Serving up some BRIGHT sunshine here.

Oh my goodness.

Things that were GREAT today:
* The SUN came out here in Austin, TX, where we've had RAIN, RAIN, and more RAIN for a long time now.
* Everyone, and I mean everyone at my house was happy today.
* My SU! catalogs came in!!!
* My SU! hostess club tonight was fun. Those ladies are such fun.
* Did I mention that it was Sunny here? :)

Anyway, I made some cards that make me smile and make me think of happy, sunshine and good things.

Card 1:
Lovely Lilac. Need I say more? Okay, one more thing... ribbon is May Arts from Jody.

Card 2:
Summer Sun... hehe... SUN, get it... "Serving up some BRIGHT *SUN*shine here".... I'm so punny... punchy is a better description. :/
More ribbon from Jody.

Card 3:

Tempting TURQUOISE! Ribbon by SU!

Card 4:

And then there is Gable Green. And that fabulous polka dot sheer stuff from May Arts and Starlitstudio.

And how come when I was a kid a LONG time ago, we had glitter glue but now it's "acid free", etc. (for scrapbooks) and it's called Stickles and it's FABULOUS? I mean, why did that take so long to "invent" or maybe the question I really want to ask is "Why didn't I think of that?" Go get you some of that stickles stuff... it's made by Ranger. That's what is on the center of each card.

AMAP Featured Store

Did you see the featured store over on the AMAP site? It's called Ink About It and it's located in Westford, MA. It sounds like such a fun store. I wish I could go there during the AMAP week and take some classes from Jenn Shurkus. Go read all about it and sign up for those classes, if you'll be in the area!

Holy Cow!

Geez, Louise! OMG!

Okay, so this so doesn't matter to me (well, it must a little for me to put in on my blog AND now to comment on it). But the other day, I added the stamping50 thing to my blog that ranks stamping sites. I just did it to see if I was even in the top 500. Seriously, thinking I wasn't. But anyway... I did and I entered in at 396! WOHOO. Today, I'm at 271!!! WOWZA!

BLOG Candy update... haven't forgotten... I'll do it today, I promise. I decided to enter that part of mommy-hood where we have our first sleepover (HERE that is). My nephew (6) spent the night last night. All of the boys were great but mom, here, is a bit tired!

More later...

WHERE ARE MY SU! CATALOGS?????? Okay, sorry... just had to get that out.

AP Challenge 8 Winner

I have to admit, challenge 8 was challenging to me. Silly cards are hard... mainly because I don't know who to give them to! I need to work on that. Anyway, Ericka won the random drawing for challenge 8. Go check it out. She won some summer A Muse stamps! WOHOO. Congrats Ericka.

More simple cards...

I've been working on a project that I'm not done with yet but I'm totally frustrated. It involves glue (or Modge Podge). Yeah, not a big fan of either of those. So, I needed to break my frustration and again, get back to the basics. I made more simple cards with my A Muse stamps. I'm going to package them up and sell or give as gifts. I still have more of those Judikins glossy notecards, so I used them. I uploaded all of this batch to my gallery over on Splitcoast.

A Muse Instructor Workshop

Do you live in Plymouth, MN? Yes, then check out Artsy Tartsy. A Muse instructor, Tami Wood, is teaching a bunch of classes there for Amuseapalooza. Here are the details.

Embroidery Engineer!

Many of you knew me once as Embroidery Engineer. Yes, you heard me. Back before stamping took over my life, my dear husband gave me an embroidery sewing machine for Christmas. That following May, I decided to start a small business by word-of-mouth (mainly friends and family) that I would do for one year to see if I could recoup the price of the machine. Well, long story short... by Christmas that year, I fulfilled my goal. And then on Christmas Eve, I stayed up until 4am, sewing our presents for our families. I only worked on the business during nap time or at night and I had orders until Christmas Eve! I got completely BURNT OUT and decided to take some time off from it. Uh, well, four years later, I'm still burnt out on it (and stamping took over!). I do occasionally still make gifts that I give to people but I don't take any more orders (and I still get asked too!).

Well, here I am seeing all of these beautiful things people are doing with their sewing machines and PAPER. I can't hardly stand it. I mean I still don't want to sew but the sewing on paper looks so cool. So, I tried to appease myself with faux stitching for a year or so. And that worked... until Cami came a long. Have you seen her stuff? She claims that she wasn't a good sewer but I don't know about that.

Recently, she posted how she got this cheap, small machine and how wonderful it is. One of my problems with breaking out my machine, is that it's a really expensive computerized thing and if I screw it up, then it'll cost a lot to fix, etc. And I know that paper sewing dulls your needles, etc. So, I just can't do it. But then... she posted last week that this machine was on sale (AND free shipping, too!). How can I pass that up? My b'day is coming up and my mom always asks me what she should get.... :)

The Janome Sew Mini came in on Friday. I hooked it up last night and just tested for a sec. Didn't have much time to play with it but here is my test sample. I tried 4 things. I'm so excited. I love it when things work right out of the box! (well, after I filled the bobbin and threaded, etc!). Now, just to figure out what to sew!

And the embroidery engineer became the crafty engineer that stamps ... and sews. :P

My 3x3 card swap

So a while back I started an A Muse 3x3 card swap over on Splitcoast. Well, I finally got around to making "my" card. I use this size ALL the time for gift bags. When giving gifts to kids, I just need a quick card that says From my son inside so these are the perfect size.

Stamps are from A Muse.
Ink: Palette Noir
Accessories: Giga Scallop Punch Square; black glaze pen; SU markers!

Stampin' Up Retiring Workshop

Tonight was my annual SU! Retirement party. We did 3 cards, as usual. I like the number 3...

It was hard to pick just 3 of my favorite retiring sets... I am "losing" 63 sets this year. But on the bright side... SO MUCH MORE SHELF SPACE FOR NEW STUFF! YAY! Do you see that silver lining? ;)

Card One - Masculine theme
Stamps: Classic Pickups (retiring), Crosshatch (retiring), Birthday Greetings
Colors: Cool Caribbean (retiring... boo hoo), Basic Black, Silver
Accessories: Silver cord (retiring)

Card Two - Ah, the roses
Stamps: Roses in Winter (retiring); Warmest Regards (hostess set- retiring)
Colors: Really Rust, So Saffron, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Mustard grosgrain ribbon (retiring)
Technique: Rock and roll

Card Three - Okay, I've used this set a bunch.
Stamps: First in Fashion
Colors: Pink Passion, Basic Black, Whisper White (Basic Black Craft Ink)
Accessories: Crystal Clear EP (retiring), Pink Passion Marker; Piercing Tool (from toolkit), grid from toolkit; White Signo Gel Pen, Black Gingham ribbon

Oops... it wasn't an ATC swap, blockhead...

The other day, I worked on my stuff for a swap that I joined on Splitcoast. Well, I went to look up the host's address, etc to get it ready to send off. Uh oh. I made 7 ATCs and it was for 7 full cards. WHOOPSIE. No big deal, I'll just make my ATCs into full cards. Yeah, no. That wasn't going to work. Oh well... I love the ATC size to use for inserts in gift bags and packages and lunch boxes!

So, here is my blooper....

Stamps by A Muse; Markers by SU!, Stickles by Ranger, Ribbon by SU! (retired!), Cardstock by SU!, Ticket corner punch by SU!, staple by staple maker ;)

Strano Designs - Featured Sponsor

Strano Designs is the featured sponsor over on the AP site. They have FABULOUS ribbon. Check them out at www.stranodesigns.com. Go read the story of how they started. It is a husband and wife team that opened up the store. How cool is that?

Took the night off...

You so won't believe what I did tonight. I saw the Dancing with the Stars tour here in Austin. Can you believe that? I never even watched the first 3 seasons. But I was hooked when Apollo joined Season 4. He isn't on tour with them though. He has to practice for the Olympics! Anyway, Joey Fatone, Joey McIntyre, Joey Lawrence, and Drew Lachey were the stars, along with the professional dancers from the show. The band was phenomenal. And the stars are all singers. Go figure. They danced and they sang! Anyway, it was a great evening and I'm glad I got to get out with my girlfriends to see it!

Maybe I go finish prepping for my workshop tomorrow night, huh?

Jenn Balcer game - WINNER

Thank you all for playing my little game to honor my dear friend and upline, Jenn. Jenn found us and posted her one word reply:

A Muse Challenge #8!!!!

Can you believe it's week 8 over there on the Amuseapalooza site? Well, I've been checking their blog ALL day and it's finally up... Challenge 8!

This week we are getting wacky! Your challenge is to create a card design for a non-traditional celebration. Did you know that Friday is "Take Your Dog to Work Day" and Saturday is "Let it Go" day!? How about a "Congratulations on Cleaning your Stamp Space" card - LOL! So many silly possibilities, so have fun! You may use your choice of ink, papers, colors, stamps (please use at least one A Muse stamp if possible), embellishments, etc.

Got any SILLY ideas? :) Leave me a comment here!

Not a workshop card.

Well, still working on those SU! Retiring workshop cards. I can't show them yet. I have 2 of the 3 done. Got the first one done. Like it a lot. Then I move on to the 2nd one. It's a similar card to the ones I've posted before. But as I'm doing it, I realize (again - I've had that exact thought before about this set!) that it takes A LOT of coloring. Hmm. Not a great idea for a workshop, especially with card #1. Which set am I talking about? Totally Cool. I do like this set. So many options to make it all sparkling and such. But in the end, too much coloring, not enough time. Then I just punted, used one of my favorite sayings from A Muse and decided to keep it for my stash. Doesn't it look "cool"? Hee hee... Cool Caribbean, Black, White, Tempting Turquiose - all CS from SU! There is stardust glitter all over it.

Simple and Elegant.

Last night I was trying to come up with some cards for my SU! Retirement party later this week. Talk about stamper's block. Pffft. So, I started cleaning up my stamp room and boy, did it need it. Some would call that procrastination and yes, they would be right but I thought creating needed a *clean* start. HA! Okay, got that semi-done. Then what? Still nada. Jenn even helped me narrow down what I wanted to show (she's Helpful, that Jenn Balcer!). Next, started opening drawers. I found all kinds of stuff in my stash (Jenn would be so proud). Among the horded stuff, I found 4 packages of Judikins Kromekote Glossy Notecards. I used to make family notecards as gifts - you know, the kind that say John, Mary, John Boy, Sally over and over and over on the front. I think Current probably still does them. Anyway, they were a big hit but I'm over that stage of my life.

So, stash. Right. Well, my friend and downline, Evalyn, recently told me how she loves the look of stamped images on Glossy CS. I use glossy CS all the time but for techniques, like crayon resist, starburst, etc. Not just for regular stuff! She said, "I love the look of markers on glossy". WOW!. How could I not have done this? Isn't it that simple? So, in all my creative-block-ness last night, I decided to use some stash (GOOD!) and do some simple cards. Hey, isn't the A Muse
slogan: Think Simple, Think A Muse?

I posted a bunch of them in my gallery on Splitcoast. Check that out if you get a chance. I saved a few for here so that you get the idea.

I love the crisp, clean look. I figure I'll give a set of 4 or 6 as gifts.
The SU! markers look good on glossy. Who knew? I'll have to use that some more. Clean and simple.

My 5 year old made these!!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Ours was not as good as I had planned, mainly because I was up from midnight to 4am this morning every 45 mins to 1 hour, with our baby (okay, so he's one and a toddler, as my 5 yr old always says to correct me). Then both boys were up for real at 6 am. As usual. So, I was worse than hung over. At least "getting" the hang over would have been more fun. Anyway, he's fine but he had gas and SCREAMED (he's so not a screamer but he proved that he does, in fact, know how to do it.). Didn't you hear him? Anyway, it was an unusual day and we ALL had to take a nap this afternoon. So, we are going to redo Father's Day another day this week.

BUT, it yesterday was a VERY proud day for this mother of a "not-so-interested-in-arts-and-crafts" boy. First, he WANTED to make his daddy a card. Second, I had enough patience to do that with him. And he did AWESOME at it. I seemed to have missed the part where his artwork went from squiggy line to color mostly btw the lines. I'm so proud. All I did on his card was cut the paper and punch the holes. He seriously did everything else. Now, remember, he's not into arts and crafts and he *just* turned 5 last week. He picked out the colors too. And the cape has red stickles on it. I'm just so proud. Stamps from A Muse.

Since he was on a roll, he wanted to make my father-in-law (he calls him Grandfather) a card, too. On this one, again I helped with the cutting, the snaps and the writing on the banner. My FIL is a retired Air Force Fighter Pilot, thus the airplane! And there is green stickles all around it. He was tracing the outline of the plane. Stamps by A Muse and SU!

Finally, I had an "silly/joke" card, I wanted to make my husband. Stamps by A Muse. It basically says, take the day off! He chuckled. That's red stickles around the lawn mower for the "don't" symbol.

Traitor!

Am not! So, yes, I'm still an SU! demo. And yes, I'm still interested in SU! One of my downlines told me the other day that I was a traitor (all in good fun, of course!) because of all of my A Muse stuff. Well, I'm just trying to win (along with many of you TALENTED ladies) the AP contest. :) So, friends, customers, downlines, etc., never fear, my pre-order from SU's fall/winter catalog is on the UPS truck headed this way. I'll have it soon and show you some of the creations from it! Hang tight. But meanwhile... go play the A Muse Scavenger Hunt game or leave Jenn Balcer a comment for her surprise thank you!.

AP - Featured Store - Scrapbook Friend'z

My friend, Jenn Balcer!

Okay, ladies, I've been wanting to do this for a LONG time but never got around to it.

Many of you know that Jenn is my upline. Well, although we don't even leave in the same town, she's ALWAYS around. I feel like she lives next door! I just adore her. She's so wonderful, creative, funny, helpful, inspiring, etc. And well, just plain nice. So, I've been a SU! demo under her for 2 years now come July 1st. So, I wanted to say thank you to her by playing this game. BUT I need your help....

Here's the game...

Leave a comment on this post using only ONE word to describe Jenn. That's it.

You don't have to *know* her to play. If you subscribe to the Splitcoast newsletters, then you know her. She puts that together. If you have ever looked at the gallery on Splitcoast, she has organized it. If you have ever had issues/problems with something on Splitcoast (can't find something, etc.), I'm sure she's replied to your post, etc. She's everywhere.

As many of you know, I call her my own personal stalker (in a good way - hmm, is there such a thing? LOL!). Anyway, let's see how long it takes her to find this. So, Jenn, thank you for all that you do!

Comment by Monday, June 18th and I'll randomly pick a winner using the random.org thing. I'll send the winner something (not sure what yet, but something!)

One last Boris. - Challenge #7 - Card 6

Boris has gotten lots of mileage, hasn't he? Good stamp.

Well, it's high time to get those thank yous out. First step, must make the thank yous.

I'm back to trying simple and elegant and clean cards for a bit. So, here's the very simple card for the very generous people that gave my son lots of stuff for his birthday.

White Cardstock from SU!, Boris from A Muse Artstamps, Thank you from A Muse Artstamps. Colored in with the SU! markers. And bubbles (aka glitter) coming out of the flask... "beware, she's gonna blow"! hee hee hee

Dog Sitters (Challenge #7 - Card 5)

For this past week's vacation, two neighbor kids split the task of taking care of our dogs. So, last time I made a card for the boy that took care of them. It had money it in. But since he's of that age that says smart-alec stuff... he says to me "Oh geez, just what I wanted ... a card". Oh joy. To be pre-teen. Humph. I told him not to throw it away before he opened it! Sheesh. Anyway, I had to make 2 cards for the dog caregivers... this time a girl and the same boy.

Here's the card I made for the boy: Simple... boring. Sufficient.

Here's the card I made for the girl. She likes arts and crafts, etc. So, I added some glitter to the scallop and the ribbon is from May Arts. She'll like it.

The dog is Patch from A Muse, as is the dog house. The sentiment is from A Muse also.

I swear Dogs can smile!

We have 2 dogs. Two papillons. After leaving them a couple of weeks ago, when we went to the Caribbean, they wouldn't leave my side. Then we leave again for a week. Today, they are stuck like glue on me. But they are smiling. Dogs smile. Right? I think so. What do you think? (mind you, then need a bath so pardon the fact that they look dirty!). Dogs are so much fun. They love you unconditionally, even if you leave them for a week! And even if your 1-year-old forgot about them and is fascinated with them and chases them around the house. The funny thing is they act like they haven't seen each other for a week. They are so rowdy that they are playing and playing and playing with each other!

Anyway, just wanted to share these happy dogs. They make me smile. It's good to come home to them.

Blog Candy Winner and Answer!!!

And the blog candy goes to...

ITCHSIX

Congratulations. Please email me your name and address and I'll get that out to you this week!

So many of you were correct... in guessing where we were. We spend a week in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We flew into Bozeman, MT (nice, cute airport!), then drove to West Yellowstone (cute little town!) and stayed there for a couple of days, while touring Yellowstone. Then we drove to the Tetons (which is where we took a wrong turn... the road to Dubois not to the Tetons!) and we stayed at Teton Village in Jackson Hole.

Now, we're home. If you need to find me, I'm the one under all the laundry. :)

A Muse Challenge #7!!!

WOW! Jenn, my upline and dear friend, would LOVE this challenge. Wouldn't you, Jenn? :) She loves all things that sparkle!

Time to get the sparkle on.... Here's the challenge:

I wish they were coming to my house! or somewhere in Austin. Check out all of these boxes!!! Oh boy!

Blog Candy - more hints....

Don't forget that you have until Monday night at midnight, Central time to post on this thread to be entered for my current blog candy.

Here are probably some dead giveaways as to our whereabouts...

Yesterday, we went on an "excursion" (don't want to tell you everything!). On the "ride" back to our car, my "just-turned-5" year-old because the LIFE of the party. He entertained the entire wagon full of people. As my husband said, his middle name should be "HAM". Good grief. The best line of the evening was... "My daddy makes a whole lot of money!" What? Where did that come from? Anyway, he's such a charmer that one. I really need to pay attention... especially 5-7 years from now :( . This boy gets ALL kind of free stuff, etc. just for being "charming". One time, when he was 2 years old, we were in San Antonio for a long weekend and we said at a fancy schmancy hotel... he batted his eyes and was very polite to the lady that was checking us in and she upgraded us to a suite. So, anyway, last night, he's just talking and talking (getting him to stop is the real trick!), and finally the wagon driver says "do you want to drive the horses"? EVERYONE and I mean everyone, including US - the parents, said, Um, shouldn't you be asking us if we're okay with a 5 year-old driving 2 horses? Anyway, that was the highlight of his trip. So, here's him driving.... (as you know I don't ever show my kids or say their names - I am uber paranoid about them getting taken - but that's a different story altogether). But he's not actually facing the camera so I should be okay with that. Right?

The next picture was taken after a mile hike! The hike wasn't too bad except that it was all uphill on the way to this point. And the 1 year-old was carried in the backpack. But it was worth it for this view. This picture was actually taken by my 5 year-old with my digital camera. He's getting better and better at it and he's obsessed with taking pictures. He got that from me :)!

A Muse Challenge #6 - Card 1

Okay, since I'm on vacation WITH the kids this time AND don't really have any of the "stuff" to do the Amuseapalooza challenge this week (Details here), I had to be clever and fast and make something work. The challenge really is about heat embossing but they relaxed the rules to include glaze pens or dry embossing. Hey, I can do dry embossing w/o any of the "stuff", right? Okay, so that was a challenge in of itself.

Just for fun, I'm going to take you on my journey to get this ONE card made for this challenge.

First, I had to come up with a template to dry emboss. I had to make up a template that had straight lines because I don't have anything curvy with me (like punches). So, I thought I'd make a checkerboard pattern. So, I used my paper cutter and some Math and cut out very carefully the pattern shown.

Next, I had to actually emboss it. Hmm, no wax paper to make it slide better... oh wait, NO embossing stylus. Huh. Now, what? Oh, wait a moment... my son's Pixter (that we brought for the airplane and long car rides, etc.) has a stylus! WOHOO! Oh boy! Oh boy! It ALSO serves as a light source! PEACHY KEEN BILLIE JEAN! Seriously, you have no idea how excited I became at this idea. I feel like I'm roughin' it here without my embossing stuff! THE HORROR...
The dry embossing isn't the greatest with this method but it certainly works in a pinch. The embossing isn't as clean as I would like so I just put my main focal point over the part that doesn't look great. Anyway, I thought it was clever and I still got to participate in this week's challenge.

Only one card for this week's challenge though. You can see why.

And finally the card... it has the A Muse sentiment and the Superbella. I think it turned out pretty well even though I didn't much like my dry embossing or coloring job. Pretty good for being on vacation and making it in a hotel room, right?

SU! In Colors 2008 - Sharon Harnist's comparisons!

Are you ready for the new Stampin' Up! catalog? I am. It comes out July 1st. Hopefully, I'll get my hands on some catalogs before then to share with my customers. A friend of mine over on Splitcoast, Sharon Harnist (StamperSharon on SCS), has the best color comparisons on her blog for the new Stampin' Up In Colors. Check it out and let me know what's your new favorite In Color. I think I'm going to like Sky Blue and Purely Pomegranate. Okay, and Wild Wasabi. Sharon is also giving away a BUNCH of stuff for leaving her a comment on what your favorite new color is. Just leave a comment here, no strings attached. How cool is she? I've always admired Sharon's work and I got to meet her at the first North Texas SCS Gathering back in 2005. Such a sweetie! Thanks Sharon for sharing your artwork and for posting the comparison guide for the new In Colors!

Seriously need some A Muse stamp stores in Austin!

You know, every week a different store is featured on the amuseapalooza blog. Every week it's some really cool stamp store somewhere REALLY far away from Austin, TX. So, Linda if you see this... come to Austin! :)

But seriously, this week's store is in Victoria, B.C., Canada. It's a place called Stampers! Here are all the details about it. If you live in the area, you should check out the stuff they're going to do during Amuseapalooza week!

It's up! It's up!

It'll be gone tomorrow, so check it out now! I'm talking about the A Muse sneak peek:

Secret Squares - A Muse Style - Round 3

Are you still in the game? Man, the prize stash is huge now.... I hope you are!

Now, round 3 is up here. Time to guess again... remember to post your guess as to who is holding the prize over on the amuseapalooza blog and do it before Friday (tomorrow) night!

Secret Squares Round 2 answer revealed!

Have you been playing the fun Secret Squares game over at AMUSEAPALOOZA? Well, they posted who was holding the prizes for Round 2...

If you guessed Emily or Heidi, then you move on to Round 3.

For this round, the secret prize was a
Background bonanza including: Scalloped frame, Big bl, Sm circle & Paisley bl stamps!

Oh boy! The prize stash is growing!

Secret Squares - A Muse Style - Round 2

Round 2 happened yesterday over at Amuseapalooza. Are you playing? Who did you think had it this time? And can you believe the prizes they are giving out over there?

Check it out! Run, don't walk!

Secret Squares - A Muse Style - Round 1

I'm a bit behind here in never-neverland about posting all the stuff happening over at AMUSEAPALOOZA.

Earlier this week, they started a game... Secret Squares. One of the nine super cool ladies was holding the prize for round one: the Flower Shop and Gerber Daisy stamps.

If you guessed the correct person, you get to go on to Round 2 and pick again. The prizes get added to a pile and at the end of all of the rounds, whomever guessed correctly all the way, get the whole caboodle!

I guessed Heidi and got knocked out in Round one. Did you guess correctly?

Okay, this REALLY isn't Texas....

All I can say, is I'm so happy to be blogging today. I do have to say that I am very thankful for my husband. I don't think we would have made it to today without him yesterday.

So, yesterday morning we decided to be a little adventurous and pack up our stuff and go to a new hotel in a different area. Along the way, we took a slight wrong turn and 45 miles later, we realized it! The only problem was that 40 of those 45 miles were spent climbing (and descending) a mountain. No problem there you say... Uh, well, there was a blizzard on top of that mountain. I'm completely serious. Of course, our 5 year-old thought it was COOL (HA! no, really no pun intended). So, we turned around and went back through the blizzard. We are truly blessed for many things, especially our children, who even when the situation is foobared, they still manage to laugh and giggle and tell jokes. But even though they were really good kids for most of the trip, 8 hours AND a blizzard was too much for any of us... Let's just say, when we got here.... I ordered room service and everyone! went to bed.

This is the view from the passenger seat through the windshield.... CRAZY, eh?

Here's another shot of the side of the road as we drove by:

Any ideas on where we are?

Wednesday, June 6, 2007

Hey, this isn't Kansas? Where am I?

Oh wait, I'm not from Kansas anyway. Well, this sure isn't Texas.

Any guesses? And those of you that know, don't say it! :)
